These Terms and Conditions constitute the agreement between you and London Local Cars. By booking a taxi and using our service, you signify your unconditional acceptance of the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement.
1. Definitions
"London Local Cars," "we," or "us" refer to the company providing the service. The terms "you" and "your" may pertain to any individual, business, or company making a booking with us.
2. Booking
2.1 It is your responsibility to allow sufficient time for your journey to ensure punctuality. This applies to all airport transfers, where you must adhere to specific check-in times for your flight. London Local Cars will not be held accountable for delays caused by your failure to allocate adequate time for your destination or your unpreparedness for collection at the scheduled time.
2.2 You are responsible for selecting a vehicle of appropriate size to accommodate all passengers and luggage. London Local Cars do not guarantee the transportation of excessive luggage. Please note that a child, regardless of age, will be considered as one passenger.
2.3 For passengers requiring wheelchair access, please make this request when booking.
3. Prices & Payment
3.1 The quoted price provided by London Local Cars is based on the information you provide. Unless specified otherwise, all prices do not include VAT and any applicable VAT charges will be added separately. We reserve the right to modify the provided quote if there are substantial changes to the proposed itinerary.
3.2 Our quote includes a 45-minute waiting period after the stated landing time and the cost of airport parking. Any waiting time exceeding this period will be subject to standard London Local Cars waiting rates. While we make every effort to adjust our service in response to flight delays, we are not obligated to do so.
3.3 Upon accepting our quote, you will receive a booking confirmation. It is essential to review this confirmation for accuracy. If discrepancies are not reported to London Local Cars, we will not be held responsible for delays or costs resulting from such errors.
3.4 Payment for our services can be made in cash, by credit card, or by debit card.
4. The Service
4.1 You are responsible for the conduct of all passengers during the journey. Any cleaning costs resulting from soiling, damage, or any negative impact on the vehicle caused by passengers may be charged.
4.2 Eating, drinking, or smoking in the vehicle is strictly prohibited.
4.3 All children in the vehicle must be appropriately restrained according to their height, weight, and age.
4.4 The number of passengers carried must not exceed the limits set by licensing or insurance.
5. Cancellations
5.1 In the event of a cancellation, please contact London Local Cars as soon as possible. If you cancel a vehicle after it has been dispatched, a charge will be incurred based on the time and distance traveled by the driver up to the point of cancellation.
5.2 If you have booked through our online system and cancel before the vehicle is dispatched, a charge may apply to the original payment.
6. Liability
6.1 While London Local Cars strives to ensure punctual arrival at your destination, we are not responsible for losses incurred due to delays beyond our control. Under no circumstances will London Local Cars be liable for losses suffered by you or your business.
6.2 The carriage of your luggage is at your own risk.
6.3 In the event of a breakdown during your journey with London Local Cars, we will make every effort to provide an alternative vehicle to complete your journey as swiftly as possible.
6.4 You shall not hold London Local Cars liable for any expenses, damages, costs, or losses resulting from the actions or omissions of anyone in your party.
6.5 No party involved may exclude or limit liability for personal injury or death caused by negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, willful default, or other matters classified as unenforceable by applicable laws.
7. Termination
7.1 We reserve the right to terminate or decline a booking immediately if any vehicle or driver is put at risk due to abuse, violence, or damage by you or any other passenger. No refunds will be provided for journeys terminated during the hire.
8. Miscellaneous
8.1 London Local Cars may subcontract its obligations as outlined in this agreement. You may not assign, delegate, or transfer any of the rights or obligations under this agreement.
8.2 London Local Cars retains the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time, with changes reflected on this page. It is your responsibility to periodically review these terms and conditions to stay informed of any revisions. Existing bookings will be honored at the rates in effect at the time of booking.
8.3 We handle information in accordance with the Data Protection Act of 1988.
8.4 This agreement represents the complete understanding between London Local Cars and you.
8.5 Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to confer any benefit or advantage on a third party. No third party has the right to enforce rights under this agreement unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
9. Disputes
Any disputes or claims must be raised within 30 days of the booking pickup date. London Local Cars is not obliged to address claims and disputes made after this time frame.
